Residents of East Turkistan’s Ghulja City Going Hungry Under Coronavirus Quarantine

Radio Free Asia reported that residents of East Turkistan’s Ghulja city, the former capital of the East Turkistan Republic (1944-1949), are going hungry under the coronavirus quarantine.

Uyghurs and other peoples of East Turkistan are going hungry as China prevents people from leaving their homes to obtain good amidst the coronavirus outbreak, which has already affected at least 79 people and killed at least 2 across East Turkistan.

The East Turkistan National Awakening Movement again calls on the international community including governments like the US Government, the European Union, and the British government along with international humanitarian organizations like the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent and others to send in urgent humanitarian aid to prevent Uyghurs, Kazakhs, and other peoples of East Turkistan from starving to death.
