PROTEST ADB’s $150 Million Loan to China’s Colonial Projects – Jan 10, 2019

Please join us to Protest the Asian Development Banks’s $150 Million Loan and to call on the ADB to STOP funding Colonial Projects, especially when millions of people are being locked up in Concentration Camps in the region.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has loaned $150 Million dollars for China’s so called “development projects” in East Turkistan or what China calls “Xinjiang.” China has been colonizing East Turkistan under the prextext of “development” and has altered the demographics of East Turkistan from over 90% ethnic Turkic people in 1949 (when China occupied the region) to less than 55% today. In addition, China is holding over 3 million Uyghur and other Turkic peoples such as Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, Uzbeks, and Tatars in concentration camps and prisons forcibly subjecting them to political and cultural indoctrination, forced medication, forced sterilization, torture, family separation, and even extrajudicial killings. China is not a “developing nation”. China is the second largest economy in the world and is using billions of not tens of billions of dollars to engage in genocide in East Turkistan. The ADB must NOT reward China’s genocide by giving them loans that can be used in real developing nations.
