In East Turkistan, Ethnic Kazakhs Suffer alongside Uyghurs

Geopolitical Monitor journalist Wilder Alejandro Sanchez’s exclusive interview with Sayragul Sauytbay was recently published on the Geopolitical Monitor highlight that ethnic Kazakhs are suffer along side the Uyghurs in Chinese Occupied East Turkistan.

The recent award given to Sairagul Sauytbay, namely the U.S. State Department’s International Women of Courage Award (IWOC), has helped maintain international attention on the campaign of repression currently being carried out in East Turkistan (called Xinjiang by the Chinese government) against the Uyghur population, and other ethnic groups in the region, including ethnic Kazakhs.
